Australia's top female pro boxer Erin McGowan knocked out Thailand's Kwan Pirom Muangroi-ed in the first round of her Pan Asian Boxing Association fight in Kalgoorlie to claim her first international title.
McGowan, 27, improved her record to six from six, with five KOs, in her lightweight professional career.
Trainer and manager Shaun Eaton said Sunday night's win would raise the Perth fighter's world ranking to around No.10 and pave the way for more international opportunities.
"This was Erin's best-ever fight preparation, she was so mentally focused," Eaton said.
"Everything came together - her power, defence and speed.
"Her opponent had good boxing technique, but Erin literally overpowered her."
