Yankees and Red Sox Crash

07 August, 2006

The New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox are still tied in the race for the AL East title after both teams lost on Saturday. The Yankees lost 5-0 to the Baltimore Orioles while Boston suffered a shock loss to Tampa.

The Yankees couldn’t put bat on ball against pitcher Adam Lowen with the rookie enjoying his best game for the Orioles.

The left hander said, "I don't think I have ever pitched like that in my career against such a great team,"

"It feels good to get that one out of the way, and hopefully there are a lot more of them to come. I can't say enough about the great defense today," He added.

"I'm adapting to my environment, I think I just feel more comfortable out there."

Boston lost at Tampa on Saturday night after former Red Sox pitcher Casey Fossum allowed just one run in six innings as the Devil Rays improved to 6-3 against Boston at home this season.
