In 1866, two horses named Falcon ran in the Melbourne Cup. One finished third , ridden by C. Stanley while the other finished midfield.
The following year two horses called Tim Whiffler ran in the race. To differentiate between them one was known as “Sydney Tim” and the other as “Melbourne Tim”.
