The Caulfield Cup is staged in the leafy suburb of East Caulfield within Melbourne's south eastern suburbs. The racecourse is approximately 8km's from Melbourne's CBD and is often referred to as 'The Heath'.

The track has a total circumference of 2080 metres with a straight of 367 metres. All races are ran in an anti-clockwise direction with some of the most popular race meets held at this track. Such race events include the Caulfield Cup, Blue Diamond Stakes, Caulfield Guineas and Underwood Stakes.

Types of transport:

By Train - Frequent trains (approx. every 10 mins) run to and from the Caulfield Racecourse departing from Melbourne's Southern Cross and Flinder's Street Stations. Simply jump on either the Frankston, Cranbourne and or Pakenham lines and get off at the Station Street station in Caulfield East. By Taxi - To ensure you arrive on time, it is highly recommended to book a TAXI in advance. You can also try your luck outside the Southern Cross Train Station's Taxi Rank on Spencer Street or the Flinder's Street Station (opposite Federation Square) on St Kilda Rd.
